Says "There's so little to do in Sheffield that you work to avoid boredom". Has lost touch with Greenford lately as his parents have moved up North. Christopher Hobson: 2nd year B.Sc. (Maths) at Manchester. Thinks Manchester is a better city than London, but doesn't like the "digs" much, having sampled quite a few. Plays in the University Orchestra. John Lee: 1st year B.Sc. (Maths) at Sir John Cass College, London. Says he gets a lot out of life in "digs" and that it is half of University life. Gordon Pickett (1954-62) 2nd year B.Sc. (Maths) at Imperial College, London. Says he enjoys the free time he gets, because he plays lots of tennis in it. Is waiting for America to approach him! Pamela Phillips: 2nd year B.Sc. (Maths) at the new University of Newcastle (formerly King's College, Durham). Lives in a comfortable Hall of Residence.
