JUNIOR FORUM During the past five months, we have been able to double our number of members. With great support, many activities have been organised. There have been four debates and one raft debate. Two discussions and two treasure hunts have been great fun. At the end of term, Mr. Lockhart kindly showed us two enjoyable films. Later this year, the J.F. will be arranging a trip to the West End. We are sure that all members of this society wish to keep it going and we hope that they will continue to enjoy it. D.P., P.S. SENIOR S.C.M. Despite fears for the future of the Senior S.C.M. at the end of last year, the society has still continued to flourish. It now has a core of about ten members who attend the weekly lunch-times meetings, but many more come to the monthly meetings after school. The latter have been increasingly successful and have taken the form of films, filmstrips (some with tape-recorded commentaries) and addresses by visiting speakers. In March, the Rev- R. S. Rawlings gave a talk illustrated by colour slides on his trip to the Holy Land. On the second day of the Summer Term, Pastor A. E. Pokorny an ex-Nazi and leader of the Austrian Bible Mission, spoke on "The Triumph of The Cross over the Tyranny of the Swastika". In the lunch-time meetings we have studied the New Testament Letters to the Romans, Colossians and the Hebrews, and have has several general discussions, all of which have been worthwhile. 12 MIDLAND BANK 13
